Information For Las Trampas Pool Members:

Las Trampas Pool is a non-profit California corporation of 200 member families sharing ownership of the club. The purpose of the corporation is to operate and maintain the club and its related recreational and social activities for use of its members, their families and guests. A Board of Directors selected by the members runs the corporation.

Cost of Membership:

A one-time initiation fee of $675 is required. $75 of the fee may be refunded upon the sale of membership minus a $600 transfer fee.  Annual dues are currently $950 (2022 season).  Dues are subject to periodic increases as determined by the board of directors. There is also a yearly $50 maintenance deposit which is refunded with participation in Spring or Fall clean up day.

Becoming A Member:

The first step towards becoming a member is to submit a wait list application.  (Please click the link on this page to complete the form.) Once your form is submitted, you will receive an electronic invoice to pay the $100 application fee.  You can also opt to print the completed form and mail with a check to our post office box (PO Box 742, Lafayette, CA 94549). Please do not deliver or mail to the pool.  Note that the fee is non-refundable and may not be applied as credit for other fees. Upon receipt of your application and fee, we will send you a confirmation email that also indicates your family’s position on our waiting list.

In addition to the 200 member families, forty “Associate Memberships” are granted to families that have progressed through the waiting list. These Associate Members enjoy the same benefits as Full Members, but are not granted voting rights until they become Full Members (usually a one or two year wait depending on membership sales by existing members).  Associate Members are considered “members-in-waiting” and are required to pay the initiation fee of $675 and annual dues.
